The Harris County Purchasing Agent is responsible for disposing of surplus and confiscated property. One of the methods of disposal is to sell at auction.
Harris County sells Surplus and Confiscated equipment generally four (4) times each year. In these auctions you may find Late model automobiles, pickup trucks, vans, lawn mowers, weed trimmers, chain saws, pumps, televisions, stereos, computers, VCR's, desks, tables, chairs, radar detectors, cellular phones, and many more types of items

The auctions generally start at 8:00 Saturday morning and run until noon. Gates open at 7:00 A.M. for property viewing before the auction.
There will be other auctions scheduled through out the year based on the quantity and types of surplus and confiscated received.
