Rules of the sale
- A refundable bid deposit of $25.00 is required to bid on this auction: Grandfathered customers will not be required to post the deposit as long as won items are paid within the stated 14 days. This system will automatically require a deposit of you allow your account to go unpaid past 19 days. We will send out the first Friendly Reminder that your account is past due at 14 days. The first Friendly Reminder will not impact your grandfather status. Sending of the second Friendly Reminder at about 19 days will revoke your grandfather status and require a bid deposit. Keep your account current to avoid a deposit.

Resale and Forfeiture of Deposit: Items won in this online auction
are considered in payment default after 14 days of the auction item's closing
date. Harris County reserves the right to resell any property that goes
into payment default. NOTE: If one item goes into payment default, ALL ITEMS
WON BY YOU GO INTO DEFAULT AND ARE SUBJECT TO RESALE. Failure to pay
for ANY items won on this online auction will result in forfeiture of your
deposit for expenses of resale and collection and damages resulting from
the resale. Restriction from bidding is automatic when any item is in payment
default. Permanent ban from future auctions will result if our attempts
to collect go unanswered.
- All items are sold as-is where-is: We have tried to describe each item to the best of our ability. Be aware that we do not have first hand knowledge of the items sold. Some items we can run a quick check for proper operation. We will report our opinion of the results. Some items i.e. car stereo's, radar detectors; cell phones etc. cannot be tested by us. Items will be described as accurately as possible. If an item appears to be working, we will tell you. If an items appears to not be working, well we will tell you that too. If we cannot determine the condition, we will state that the condition is unknown. Understand that we offer NO GUARANTEES, OR WARRANTIES. NONE! Potential bidders should personally inspect these items to determine condition prior to bidding. THE DETERMINATION OF CONDITION, FUNCTION, PERCEVIED OR ASSUMED VALUE IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER, NOT THE SELLER. We want you to be a repeat buyer at our auction and we will try our best at gaining your trust but if you are the successful bidder, we expect you to honor your bid and follow through on the transaction within 14 days of the award.
- We are not equipped for shipping items: You are expected to travel to our location at 601 Lockwood, Houston, Texas to pay for the items you buy and pickup your purchases. We will box your purchase, if requested, and it is of reasonable size (no furniture or large items), for $10.00 additional charge and place it in WILL CALL. You must arrange pickup, insurance, and delivery with a carrier of your choice. We will not be responsible for items after they leave our premises.
- Email Notifications: This system sends out automated email notifications as a service to our customers. All emails are SENT immediately. But keep in mind that there are many factors beyond our control that may affect when you RECEIVE the email. Our email server will IMMEDIATELY attempt to send your email notification to your email server. In order to reach your server, the the email must travel through several hops. Each hop has to pass through routers, switches, hubs and other various types of electronic equipment on the Internet maintained by others. If anywhere along the way, there is a problem with ANY OF THIS EQUIPMENT, our server will STORE the message and will attempt to re-send the message every 10 minutes for 5 days before giving up.
